Is it easy to accept failure?

It is not that easy to answer this question. May be my life experiences with my age are not enough to answer this question. But things that happened over past two weeks have instigated me to write this blog post. In this blog post I would like to give my perception towards failure. Forgive me if anything is wrongly written and suggestions are always welcome.

It is very painful to take when something happens against our expectation. One of the hardest things in life is to accept failure and move on. Failure.... It is something that one experiences in one's life at some point of time. Most of the people say... Hard work, perseverance, patience and courage are key to achieve success in any field. But even after having all those, we still face challenges, fail many times in our life and become hopeless. It was so happened to me in my life where I became hopeless and felt depressed when I was failed many times repeatedly. Later it took time for me to understand the reality and move forward in my life.

Failure is inevitable in life...

Can you show me at least one person who achieved success without tasting the pain of failure? No..you can't show. Because failure happens to everyone and you are not only one. Failure is inevitable in life, what matters is how we deal with it. Most of the times people feel depressed when then face something which is not expected. It is difficult to understand this life. What we expect never happens and what is not expected is happened all the time. No one becomes successful in one day. Success is a long journey where we experience terrible failures. It is we who should understand this simple secret. 'When life gives you lemons, make lemonade' i.e., lemons are sour like difficulties in life, we should make lemonade by turning difficulties into something positive or desirable.

Why failure is important?

Do you know the bamboo takes around 3-5 years to start growing? When you plant a seed of bamboo and start watering it, watering and keep on watering it... for the first year you see nothing on the surface has come out and the second year again nothing is grown and 3-5 years in succession nothing comes out and then all of a sudden the bamboo starts growing and within six months it shoots a hundred feet high. So what was it doing for those five years what we would say is it was doing nothing. But it was deepening its roots because for it to rise a hundred feet it needs such a solid roots. If the roots are not strong it is going to fall over. Those five years it was strengthening its roots. Similarly God wants us to reach that perfection in our life. It will take time and in this time there may be mistakes and we might fail many times... never get discouraged, see all these as opportunities to learn and progress in life. When the plan doesn't work, change the plan but never the goal. The world may say you are a failure but you will succeed one day.

Read successful stories..

I love reading books. I read the book 'Wings of Fire' in my first year of B.Tech. At that time I had gone through repeated failures and it was one such book that motivated me like anything. Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam's story is of extreme hardships, impossible odds and innumerable sacrifices. Each and every life instance of him teaches us a lesson. As now I am into engineering field, I could well correlate my life with those instances. There are many such successful people in this world. Reading success stories of successful people stimulates motivational enzyme within us. So I suggest everyone to start knowing about successful stories of eminent people and how did they achieve so called success through hardships in their lives. When you feel depressed these stories help you a lot to get back to normal situation and inspires you to re-start again.

Believe in yourself..

It is easy to say anything, but it is difficult to implement the same. The time we understand the secret of life and act accordingly, that is the first step towards success. In this busy world everyone is too much busy with their own lives and no one has time to think of others. It is we who should think of ourselves. Whatever may be the situation, we should stand for ourselves. Just remember one thing, life throws stones at you again and again..you should be able to face them. So have specific goals in life, believe in yourself and always hope something good gonna happen with you though it doesn't happen most of the times. Remember every person has a day and it's just you who need to wait for it.

When DREAMS are shattered, TEARS will definitely come in eyes. But decision is yours whether you want to DRAIN out yours DREAMS by those tears or you want to CLEAN the DUST of your broken DREAMS to make them more SHARP and start your journey again!!
